JEE Main 2025 Notification
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the official notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online.
The Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) is conducted for admissions into BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as institutions/universities recognized by participating State Governments. Additionally, the JEE Main serves as an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to IITs.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2025
Here are the eligibility criteria for appearing in the JEE Main 2025 exam:
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates appearing for JEE Main 2025. Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, or are appearing in 2025, can take the exam, regardless of their age. However, candidates should verify and meet the age criteria set by the specific institutes they wish to apply to.
- Educational Qualification: Only candidates who have passed or are appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to take the JEE Main 2025. Candidates who completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.
- State of Eligibility: The state code of eligibility refers to the state from which the candidate has completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) qualifying examination. This code determines eligibility for JEE Main 2025 and does not depend on the candidate’s native place or residence. For instance, if a candidate takes the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from an institution in New Delhi but resides in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, their state code of eligibility will be New Delhi, not Uttar Pradesh.
