How to Download RPF Admit Card:

Candidates who have submitted their applications for the 4208 Constable positions in the Railway Protection Force and Railway Protection Special Force can download their CBT Admit Card by following these steps:

  3. You will be redirected to a new webpage where you need to enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth, and click on the Login button.

RPF Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process and Examination Details

The recruitment process for the Constable posts under the Railway Protection Force (RPF) involves three stages as outlined below:


Selection Stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  3. Document Verification (DV)

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Details of CBT:

  • Exam Name: Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Exam Date: To be announced
  • Mode of Exam: Online
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Total Questions: 120 (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Standard of Questions: 10th/Matric level
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Pass Marks:
    • UR, EWS, and OBC-NCL: 35%
    • SC & ST: 30%
  • Normalization: Marks will be normalized for CBTs held in multiple shifts.
  • Medium of Exam:
    Candidates can choose their preferred language from English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu). Questions will be displayed in both English and the selected language.

Syllabus for CBT:

  1. Arithmetic (35 Marks):
    Topics include Number System, Whole Numbers, Decimals & Fractions, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Time & Distance, and more.
  2. General Intelligence & Reasoning (35 Marks):
    Covers Analogies, Spatial Visualization, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Coding-Decoding, Syllogistic Reasoning, and more.
  3. General Awareness (50 Marks):
    Focuses on Current Events, Indian History, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Constitution, Sports, General Science, and Environmental Awareness.

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Shortlisting for PET/PMT:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CBT performance at a ratio of 10 times the number of vacancies per category (Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen).

Important Notes:

  • Ex-Servicemen: Exempted from PET but required to appear for PMT.
  • Additional Rounds:
    If vacancies remain unfilled after the first PET/PMT, additional candidates may be called for a second round based on CBT merit (up to 10 times the shortfall).

Key Points for PET:

  • Passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory.
  • The PET is qualifying in nature, and no marks will be awarded.

Stage 3: Document Verification (DV)

Candidates who pass the CBT and qualify in the PET/PMT will be called for Document Verification to finalize their eligibility for recruitment.


Stage 3: Document Verification (DV)

The final stage of the RPF Constable Recruitment process involves Document Verification (DV). Candidates must carefully adhere to the following guidelines:


DV Process Overview:

  1. Eligibility for DV:
    • Candidates will be considered for DV based on their performance in the CBT, provided they qualify in both the PET and PMT.
  2. Mandatory Attendance:
    • Candidates failing to appear for Document Verification will be disqualified from the final selection, regardless of their CBT or PET/PMT performance.
  3. Submission of Documents:
    • Candidates must submit all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies during DV.
    • Scanned copies of their Photo and Signature (in true color) must also be uploaded through the official portal https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv prior to their DV date.
  4. No Extensions:
    • No additional time will be provided for candidates unable to present their original certificates on the scheduled DV date.
    • Failure to produce required documents will result in the forfeiture of candidature.

Key Note:
Candidates are strongly advised to ensure their documents are complete, properly organized, and uploaded in advance to avoid disqualification. Regularly check the official portal for updates related to DV.
