• Educational Qualification:
  • 10+2/XIIth or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in stenography as per DoPT norms

2. Junior Secretariat Assistant

• Total Posts: 8
• Department-wise Distribution:
  • General: 3
  • Finance & Accounts: 1
  • Stores & Purchase: 4
• Pay Scale: Level 2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200/-) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
• Upper Age Limit (as on 14.02.2025): 28 years
• Educational Qualification:
  • 10+2/XIIth or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in computer typing speed and usage as per DoPT norms

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years

Application Fee

• Amount: Rs. 500/-
• Payment Mode: Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of “Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat,” payable at Jorhat.
• Exemption: SC/ST/PH/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted from the application fee.
• Important: Candidates must write their Name, Category, and Post Code on the back of the Demand Draft.

Submission of Hard Copy:

Candidates must send a signed printout of the online application along with self-attested copies of required documents in an envelope superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF___________(Post Code _________)” to the following address by 28.02.2025 (5 PM):
