Gauhati High Court Recruitment Notification – 2024

The Gauhati High Court has released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 19 Judicial Assistant and Computer Assistant positions in the Principal Seat of the Gauhati High Court. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online for the following posts:
1. Judicial Assistant
- Number of Posts: 14
- Category-wise Vacancies:
- UR: 8
- OBC/MOBC: 6
- SC: Nil
- STP: Nil
- STH: Nil
Scale of Pay:
- Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 70,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700 + other allowances as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
- Must be a Graduate from a recognized University.
- Must have working knowledge of Computer.
2. Computer Assistant
- Number of Posts: 5
- Category-wise Vacancies:
- OBC/MOBC: 3
- STP: 1
- STH: 1
- UR: Nil
Scale of Pay:
- PB-2, Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 70,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 + other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Educational Qualification:
- Must be a Graduate from a recognized University.
- Must have a Diploma/Certificate in Computer Operation/Applications of at least 6 months duration.
- Must have received training in tasks such as:
- Data entry and DTP work.
- Basic hardware maintenance including installation of devices like printers and scanners.
- Setting up and configuring LAN.
- Use of utilities and application software.
- Web designing and web-based applications.
Other Criteria for Gauhati High Court Recruitment
- Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 40 years of age as of the last date of application.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- STP/ STH: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Employment Exchange Registration:
Candidates must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number for the State of Assam.
Application Fee:
- SC/ST: Rs. 250/-
- PwBD: Nil
- Others: Rs. 500/-
