Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025
Age Limit:
- Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
- The upper age limit is 21 years on the date of enrollment, if all stages of the selection process are cleared.
Educational Qualification:
- For Science Subjects:
- Intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
- OR
- Three-year Engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, Information Technology with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR
- Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
- For Other Subjects:
- Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent examination in any subject approved by Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
- OR
- Two years Vocational Course with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Mandatory Medical Standards for Agniveer Vayu
- Height:
- Minimum 152 cm (For both male and female candidates).
- Candidates from North East or hilly regions (Uttarakhand) have a lower minimum height of 147 cm.
- For candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height is 150 cm.
- Chest:
- Male Candidates: Chest circumference should be 77 cm with an expansion of at least 5 cm.
- Female Candidates: Chest should have a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Gynaecological Examination (for female candidates): The examination covers external genitalia, hernia orifices, and the perineum, as well as the detection of any stress urinary incontinence or genital prolapse.
- Pregnancy: Female candidates found to be pregnant will be disqualified.
- Hearing: Candidates should be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
- Dental: Candidates should have healthy gums and a good set of teeth with a minimum of 14 dental points.
- General Health: Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, free from active or latent medical conditions, and able to perform duties in any climate and terrain.
- Body Tattoo: Permanent tattoos are not allowed. However, tattoos on the inner face of the forearms (from elbow to wrist), the back part of the hands (dorsal), and those as per the custom of tribal traditions are permissible. Tattoos considered offensive, obscene, indecent, or racist are prohibited.

Online Test for Agniveer Vayu Recruitment
Candidates who have applied for the Agniveer Vayu posts will need to appear for an Online Test. The test will be conducted in Phase I. Provisional admit cards will be sent to eligible candidates via email 48 to 72 hours prior to the examination.
Important Instructions for the Online Test:
- Admit Card: Candidates must bring a colour printout of the admit card along with one blue/black pen and an original AADHAAR card for Phase-I testing.
- Reporting Time: Candidates should report at the designated center on the specified date and time.
- City and Exam Date: The city and exam date will be communicated to candidates in advance, enabling them to plan their movement.
Test Pattern and Details

- Objective Type questions.
Language of Questions:
- The test will be bilingual (English & Hindi), except for the English paper.
Marking Pattern:
- +1 Mark for each correct answer.
- -0.25 Marks for each wrong answer (negative marking).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who qualify the online test will be shortlisted and their names will be displayed on the CASB Web Portal: https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in. They will then be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-II at a designated ASC.
PFT Consists of Two Parts:
- PFT-I
- PFT-II
PFT-I (1.6 Kms Run)
Candidates must complete a 1.6 km run within the following time limits:
