Jorhat College, located in Jorhat, Assam, has announced a recruitment drive for various teaching and non-teaching positions. The college is seeking eligible candidates for the following roles:

1. Assistant Professor

• Number of Posts: 04
• Subject-wise Vacancies:
  • Economics: 03 posts
    • 1 post reserved for OBC/MOBC (RPN: 17)
    • 1 post reserved for UR (RPN: 29)
    • 1 post reserved for ST(H) (RPN: 30)
  • Philosophy: 01 post reserved for OBC/MOBC (RPN: 26)

Educational Qualification:
The qualifications and selection procedure for the Assistant Professor position will be as per the Government OM No. AHE/239/2021/68, dated 24.01.2022.

2. Library Assistant

• Number of Posts: 01
• Reservation: 01 post for OBC/MOBC (RPN: 10)

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates should be graduates in Arts, Science, or Commerce.
• Additionally, candidates should have a diploma or certificate course in computer operations (minimum 3 months duration).
• Proficiency in Assamese and English typing (Word and basic Excel) is required.

Application Fee:

• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,500 (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only)
• Library Assistant: Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred only)

The application fee must be paid via Demand Draft, drawn in favor of the Principal, Jorhat College, payable at Jorhat.
