Moran College has released a recruitment notification for the following positions: Assistant Professor, Library Assistant, and Grade IV. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply.

- Assistant Professor
- No. of Posts: 05
- Subject-wise Vacancy:
- Botany: 02 posts (UR, Roster Point 16; OBC/MOBC, Roster Point 28)
- Chemistry: 02 posts (UR, Roster Point 20; OBC/MOBC, Roster Point 26)
- Physics: 01 post (OBC/MOBC, Roster Point 17)
- Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade point scale) in the concerned subject.
- NET/SLET/SET is mandatory unless the candidate holds a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations.
- For the Botany post, candidates with M.Sc. in Biotechnology need not apply.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/Differently abled categories.
- Candidates must have the required qualifications by the last date of application submission.
- Library Assistant
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR, Roster Point 11)
- Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized university.
- A Diploma/Certificate Course in Computer Operation of minimum three months duration.
- Knowledge of Assamese and English typing in MS Word and simple Excel is required.
- Grade IV
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR, Roster Point 7)
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed Class VIII.
Other Criteria
- Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not exceed 38 years as of 01/01/2024. Age relaxations are as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PWD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
- PRC Requirement: The candidate must have a Permanent Residential Certificate and must be proficient in local languages.
- In-Service Candidates: Must apply through proper channel with NOC from the concerned authority.

- Assistant Professor: Rs. 1500/- (Demand Draft)
- Library Assistant: Rs. 500/- (Demand Draft)
- Grade IV: Rs. 500/- (Demand Draft)
The Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of Principal & Secretary, Moran College, Moranhat, payable at State Bank of India, Moran Branch (IFSC: SBIN0007368).
