RRB Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories posts consists of multiple stages, including a Single Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT), Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test, Translation Test (if applicable), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Exam Name: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

- Mode of Exam: Online (CBT)
- Duration:
- 90 minutes (for most candidates)
- 120 minutes (for PwBD candidates availing the Scribe facility)
- Total Questions: 100 (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Question Standard: The level of questions will be based on the prescribed educational qualifications for the respective posts.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR & EWS: 40%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 30%
- SC: 30%
- ST: 25%
- PwBD Candidates: A relaxation of 2% in the qualifying marks may be given if there is a shortage of PwBD candidates for reserved vacancies.
- Normalization of Scores: Normalized marks will be used for shortlisting candidates for further stages, including Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test, Translation Test, and Document Verification.
