The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment of 600 Probationary Officer (PO) vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online for the position. Below are the details of the recruitment:

Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO Recruitment 2025:
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age as on 01.04.2024.
- Candidates must have been born between 02.04.1994 and 01.04.2003 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD (OBC/NCL): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
Educational Qualification:
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Final-year/semester students of Graduation may apply provisionally. However, they must produce proof of completing their graduation on or before 30th April 2025 if called for an interview.
- Candidates with qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, or Cost Accountant are also eligible.

Selection Process for SBI PO Recruitment 2025:
The selection for the Probationary Officer (PO) position will be carried out through a three-phase process, as detailed below:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination will be an online objective test consisting of 100 marks. It will be divided into three sections, each with a separate timing:

Phase II: Main Examination
The Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of two parts:
- Objective Test:
- The objective test will be for 200 marks and will consist of 4 sections, each with separate timing. The total duration will be 3 hours.

- Descriptive Test:
- This test will evaluate candidates’ communication skills and will consist of 50 marks. It will be conducted immediately after the objective test, and candidates will be required to type their answers on the computer.
- Duration: 30 Minutes
- The test will include:
- Emails
- Reports
- Situation Analysis
- Precis Writing
Phase III: Interview
- Psychometric Test (Optional): The bank may conduct a psychometric test for personality profiling for candidates shortlisted for Phase III. The results of this test may be reviewed by the interview panel to gain a better understanding of the candidates’ personalities.
- Interview: Candidates will appear for an interview worth 30 marks.
- Group Exercises: Candidates may also have to participate in Group Exercises, which will carry 20 marks.
To be considered for final selection, candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Phase III. These qualifying marks will be decided by the bank.
Summary of Selection Process:
- Phase I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Test) – 100 marks
- Phase II: Main Examination (Objective Test and Descriptive Test) – 200 marks (Objective) + 50 marks (Descriptive)
- Phase III: Interview & Group Exercises – 30 marks (Interview) + 20 marks (Group Exercises)
Candidates must qualify each phase to proceed to the next and eventually be considered for final selection.
